The fact that we are the only section without the j2s,

(no offence), and we pulled it off, this shows a lot of our potential yea?

Singing No Importa La Distancia at Changi Airport was once in a lifetime experience.

Teared like a waterfall, but it was worth it.

All the fun, laughter, shopping are going to stay in my memories forever.

oh, did I mention, last mintue chiong for 12 doughnuts was a bliss!

It's going to be a different feeling watching the competition as a audience this year.

Exciting, exciting!

- has been sleeping for less than 6 hours everyday.

It's been a month, I know.

Somehow the life of JC1 has caught up with me.

Nevetheless, life has been exciting and well, challenging.

School work is still manageable despite the consistent flowing in of tutorials.

Class 10/07 is quite bonded too, I must say!

Love the girls, especially!

AJChoir successfully staged its first concert at the Esplanade Concert Hall.

A big thank you to those who came down to support!

Our next milestone will be SYF.

We'll put up a good fight, oh yes we will!

AJ family day yesterday was fun.

Soon enough, it's back to school in 2 days time!

Everyone will be in AJ uniform, it's going to be an interesting day!

Haha.

Choir camp drew to a close yesterday with No Importa la Distancia.

It was fun and memorable, especially the night walk.

I got freaked out pretty badly.

Nevertheless, I completed the course with senior, Clara!

Games were challenging with intriguing cheers from various groups.

The group I was in, group 3 aka Fuzzy came up with this cheer,

I've not been catching up with my sleeping hours despite it's the holidays.

But nevertheless, I did a few catching up with friends this week.

Sunday was catching up with AMKSS Choir.

Their blend was good, but there's definitely room for improvement!

Monday was AJChoir practice plus Zhen Kai's belated birthday celebration.

I should say surprise birthday celebration was semi-success?

Tuesday was cheesecake day with Cinch plus Alison's farewell!

Half price cheesecakes was definitely a bliss!

And cinch, I'm sure everything will work out fine.

The day before, after choir, Mr Toh stopped me as I leave.

Well, I wasn't having high hopes in getting back to AJ after this short conversation with Mr Toh.

In fact, I was preparing myself for the worst already.

But, it turned out fine in the end!

To think I was being pessimistic.

Occassionally, she does go for karaoke session with her colleagues.

And, she sings fairly well.

But what about the remaining 70%?

Option 2: Dad
Possibility: 0%

Having sung the song 'Top of the World', my uncle's newly bought karaoke system has graded him with a song of 9 / 100 for his 'fantastic' singing.

*Jaw drops, laughters roared across the room*

It's a far cry from the score of 86 I've scored.

And, yes, it's a karaoke system that grades your singing.

How cool?

Option 3: Fellow paternal uncles and auntie
Possibility: 20%

With an average score of 78, my uncles and auntie have prove they are quite a worthy bunch of singers.

Unlike their brother, my dad.

Option 4: Radio, television drama series

Being a television addict from young, I've watched hundreds of drama series.

According to my auntie, I know every song for every drama.

Right, so I was tearing really badly over my results.

As we begin the new year on a good note, perhaps it's time to settle yourself down and reflect this whole year.

Also, just take a moment to pray for your loved ones, friends, just anyone.

May everything good come to them and may strength befall on them when they fall so that they can get up again and face harsher challenges.

It's time, too, to set goals for yourself.

Set goals that are beyond your comfort zone.

Something that is beyond your capability but still within your ability.

Sounds confusing eh ?

Well, I hope you get my point.

For me, as I celebrate 2007, I'm going to be someone stronger.

Both physically and mentally.

As I enter this new school and foreign environment, I'm going to try to step out of my comfort zone and know more people!

It's going to be difficult, I know.

But I believe I can.

JC life will be tough, perhaps excruciating.

Still, I'm going to give it my all and do my best!

I got experience some facial spa today.

My face is glowing at the moment, that's what mum said.

Well, I'm not too sure about that.

There are still marks left after the removal of blackheads.

The removal of blackheads was definitely excruciating.

I kept twitching my body.

But it pays to be beautiful doesn't it ?

All in all, it was a pleasant experience.

Maybe you should try it too!

I paid $28 for 1h 15mins of facial spa.

This weekend has been filled with drama.

At home, I keep having the thought that my parents are giving the cold shoulder.

Maybe I'm just thinking too much.

But considering the fact that I'm out almost everyday, I do understand where this 'coldness' is coming from.

Thus, I shall spend more time with them as much as I can.

Singing wise, TONE performances have already kicked off.

Not so bad I should say.

But not to my satisfaction, I believe we can bring it up to another level!

Issues are also starting to pop out at TAS YV.

I shouldn't say much because I'm not involved in one way or the other.

Well well, on a lighter note, I found out where Phoebe is working these days.

I was buying breakfast for my family at Bread Talk.

This sales girl greeted me 'Good Evening!' and we stared for like 3 seconds.

Yea, it's Phoebe.

She does look like a Bread Talk sales person in that uniform.

Heard that she's surviving on bread for dinner.

I guess this definitely fits her ideal diet.

Haha!

I don't think she can complain that she's fat anymore.

Also, on satuday, I buzzed by to check on Seok Wei.

Of course, she wasn't keen to see me.

But hey, I still dropped by to say hi in midst of my performances.

One thing about being a memeber of TAS Youth Voices is that you will entangle yourself in a wardrobe crisis.

Sometimes it may be due to client's request, or the type of event, that we are required to have a wide range of clothing.

A mistake in your clothing and you will go from dressy to messy.

But at the end of the day, you have a wardrobe with clothings that suits most type of occasion, I can say.

This year's attire was red and black.

Black was not a major problem.

Red ?

I only 1 piece of it.

So today, I went on a mission to search for the ultimate attire.

Conclusion : 1 Simple Red top, 1 Black Skirt.

I don't suppose that's enough to last me through the performances.

I have faith I can look for more.

On the good side, I will have an addition to my wardrobe collection.

I'm currently losing my voice on a on-and-off basis.

Which is starting to freak me a little.

Because I need my voice to sing, communicate with other and,
to talk to myself.

It's my little secret hobby.

Haa.

So my only cure is to take King To Nin Jiom Pei Pa Koa.

If you know what I'm talking about.

Well, I kind of figured out why I'm such a TV-addict.

Dad says mom used to record commericials in a tape (there's one in the past).

And, I can spend an hour sitting in front of the TV by just watching commericials.

Weird huh.

But, TV is really good stuff, you should try it.

Haa!

Oh yea, congrats Jun Xiang for winning Prom King.

It was definitely a shocker.

I'm secretly thinking that he used his sissy walk to charm the judges.

But, I'm not there to prove that.

So, he surely used his unique trait to mesmerise the judges.

Went to watch M-Pact yesterday.

And boy they are good!

First half was nearly an hour of singing without stopping.

And, it ended with my favourite, Love the One You're With.

Yes, it's the one with 'And the eagles fly~'

I still can't figure the lyrics despite buying 3 albums.

Maybe I should check their website.

Anyway, second half was more of rock, jazz and less choral.

Their rendition of My Favourite Things definitely blew me off.

The night ended with the encore piece of Ain't Nobody by Earth, Wind and Fire.

And, I caught the last train home for the first time.

I was just thinking, TONE won't be as good as M-Pact now.

But we can be lousier than them by a little.

Does it make sense ?

Maybe it doesn't.

TONE is still young and we have time!

Because time is money!

Attended Camp A Cappella these 2 days.

Picked up some skills about reading your audience and vocal percussion.

I got my tou fu eaten away during TAS Youth Voices master class with M-Pact.

But I shouldn't dwell on it, americans are just, well, too loving.

Mum seems to be encouraging me to get a part time job after caroling.

I'm feeling a little apprehensive about it.

I'll see how it goes.

Meanwhile, it's back to singing! =)

What are some things in the world today that fill you with anxiety and dismay ?

I'm sure many of us would say it's exams and comparison of results.

But have you wonder there are other things to fill you with anxiety and dismay ?

Things like terrorism for example.

The threat of terrorism lies everywhere.

But hey, we live in a safe country where we can sashay down the streets without having the fear of a bomb going off.

People in North Korea may not have the same fate.

They may worry when their faces and limbs will get disintegrated and die.

People in Thailand are probably walking while being stared by soldiers.

Employment.

It may not be a worrying issue for us at the moment.

For adults, it is.

Nobody really knows if their job will be secured.

How about eduation.

What we are studying, does it have any relevance to the current society ?

Do we need toa cah soh when we visit the supermarket ?

What's the use of studying relative velocity anyway ?

Am I going to be a pilot and fly from point A to B, while a wind is blowing from a bearing of 30 degrees ?

And, have you realise that our education policies have undergo many changes ?

From EM3 to no EM3, streaming to no streaming, selection of secondary schools only after release of PSLE result and DSA ?

Have you also notice the increse in violence in schools ?

Since when do you have ruby guys stepping on each other's heads ?

Hmm, seems that our education is getting out of hand ?

Then, how about our health.

Haze is a problem that we are currently facing.

Hopefully this will ease soon.

Do you know how much radiation we are exposing our brain to ?

With computers and mobile phones always by our side, which makes both me and you at risk.

Who knows, our neruones are probably being fried now.

I better get a health policy now, haha!

I'm fortunate not to be hit, but I'm having flu and cough and am a potential threat to my sitting partner, David.

I'm trying to recover, mother just refuse to bring me to the doctor.

Drink more Vitamin C! was all she said.

Okay, we are currently living on biscuits, mineral water and poor quality cater food,

with bee hoon and nuggets tasting very bland and puny curry puffs.

Well, it's only a dollar.

intense writing, shading on OTAS sheet
mixing the chemicals
measuring some 40 rice
vomitting of mathematical formulas
memorising which chemicals are oxidising or reducing agent

PRELIMS IS OVER!

Never in a million of years I thought I would see this day coming. Okay, exaggeration.

While the teachers are forced to see my dreadful writing, I hope they will close an eye on that and give me a good mark.

I think I will still fail my English, yet again.

Still, I must enjoy life for just this weekend.

Gonna catch Acappella Fest later in the evening.

I bet it's going to be a fabulous show!

Before that, I'll take my sister to the new Bishan Community Library, since she's been pestering me to bring her there.

After that, I'll do some shopping with my girl friends!

When I'm at my grandmother's house, I would never fail to watch Crocodile Hunter on Animal Planet.

I would always love how Steve Irwin introduces various animals to the viewers.

And his famous line, 'Danger, danger, danger!'

My heart would skip a beat whenever he had a close encounter whether with the most venonous snake or a 12 foot crocodile.

But today, we lost him.

We lost someone who adores animals like his children.

Someone who can communicate with animals and understand them so well.

At least he died while doing something that he loves.

I say CROCS RULE!

The sound engineer did a pretty bad job.

There was no blend in the voices at all.

I wonder why he calls himself a sound engineer.

I'm worried I might do badly because of that.

As I watch 'Hai De Er Zi' or Through It All on channel 8, I was thinking,

my dad looks like Li Nan Xing.

or is Li Nan Xing that looks like him, either one.

haha!

coz my dad has pretty dark skin tone like he does and all.

well, I dun know.

I was walking past my mum to the ktichen just now.

Me: Huh?! Where got ? I go and check with daddy.

Walks to dad who's in ktichen fixing dinner.

Me to dad: Mummy said I've grown.

Start to stand straight beside dad.

Mum: Wah, really eh! You're taller than daddy already!

Me: *grins*

Grandma was hospitalized last sat.

Stroke hit her.

Her right body is paralysed.

What I heard was, she was playing mahjong with my relatives.

It was her turn to draw a tile, her right hand suddenly got numbed and started salivating.

Seems that there was a blood clot in her brain.

When I saw her last sunday, her condition was quite bad.

When you call her, she can respond but could only stare at you blankly.

But she much better now.

The whole of my paternal family came to have dinner at my house and we left to see her after that.

She could smile sweetly when my dad told her we ate 10 cups of rice.

Though she still can't speak, but at least she understands what we are saying.

Now, she have to learn everything all over again.

How to walk, speak, eat and go to the toilet.

I realise how fragile life is.

She was still bubbly 2 weeks ago, but she seems like a child now.

I'm sure she will get well, coz she's my grandma.

My grandma is a strong woman!

Our whole family will be behind her!

Even my uncle from america flew back.

She will recover. =)

I'm feeling feverish.

Body temperature last check was 39.8 degrees celsius.

Am having difficulty to type coherently.

The aches all over my body is just killing me.

Anyway, life has been peaceful but not for long.

O level oral is next week, I'm not sure if I'm fully geared up for it.

But, I'll do my best!

Prelims is less than 2 weeks away.

Urgh.

I just don't have sufficient time.

I hope I can do my best.

My kind and lovely dad brought my player to repair today.

He called and told me it cost a total of $198 to fix it!

what a week. (this is a long one)

1. My player died on me earlier this week.

I'll probably get it back after prelims.

so no more music, no more TONE's singing and equals to no motivation to study.

ah, well.

maybe it's a sign from god that I should start studying.

2. I discovered intriguing information about my maths teacher, Mrs Ong.

well, she is currently pregnant, how many months I'm uncertain.

it's seems that this pregnancy is making her behaviour rather odd.

on monday it rained quite heavily and the weather was too cool for us to handle in the ava room.

so we turned up the temperature without her acknowledge.

note: the temperature was around 25 to 30 degrees.

then she started complaining how warm it was.

and how she likes sleeping with the air conditioner turned on at 20 degrees with the fan ON and NO blanket!

and how she likes sitting directly the air conditioner during her karaoke session while her friends are freezing away.

I think that baby of hers is giving her double, no triple insulation!

poor Mr Ong, poor me, I have such a weird maths teacher.

on the other note, she's making my maths lesson more interesting now!

3. English report test was a anyhow pom effort.

was trying to satisfy each of the stakeholders' feedback and meeting the timeline.

by the end of the test, my hand was nearly broken.

but of course, it didn't.

4. L1R5 for common test exceeded 20.

sigh, gotta buck up!

5. I slept for less than 6 hours for the whole for this week.

6. Played soft ball during PE.

wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

7. There's no English homework. *rejoices*

coz both my English teachers were absent for the past 2 days.

and this happens in only a million or zillion years.

haha!

8. I was a HUGE lightbulb with the couple deside me during english tuition today.

worst, I have to lend them my answers since they arrived late.

I was feeling a little grumpy so handwriting was rather illegible.

so that was a display of what an untidy girl I am.

and, they were all lovey dovey with each other, arguing whether girls are more creative or guys.

well, you know the usual stuff.

still, friday ended up with a good note.

enjoyed my da-bao-ed dinner while watching the Guess show and charmed.

I just love friday!

so footlose! (means carefree, just learnt it!)

tomorrow's rehearsal is cancelled.

thought I can bade farewell properly.

oh well.

It's a pleasant day today.

The first saturday where I don't have to wake up early for rehearsals.

But I do miss the rehearsals.

Spent the afternoon completing paper after paper.

It's the end of another carefree day (I'm referring to friday).

Bascially, we didn't get to study at all coz it's all practical lessons.

As usual, got 'poisoned' by chemicals again.

Stayed back a while to complete A Math paper with Doreen and Jocelyn.

Rushed off to tuition and my socks ended up pretty damp.

We did essay writing today on 'Schools tend to stifle creativity. How far is this true in your country ?'

My tutor started to ramble about how she studied in the past.

Do you actually know that they (at that time) had to memorise the whole of the periodic table ?

So she told us she would spend time drawing the table over and over again.

Look at us now, just flip to the last page of the exam paper, and *TA-DA!* the periodic table is nicely printed.

We are fortunate.

Then she talked about how she have to memorise the different Kings in Thailand (it's A LOT!) and who their wives were.

Sounds ridiculous, but true.

Now, I am going to study hard.

I've know it's easier to study now than in the past.

I must work hard!

Got the recordings from Chin Tow already.

We did sound good.

But half of the time we are like choo-choo train rushing to somewhere.

At least, I have something to keep me reminiscing now.

something Dad said just now is bugging me.

'You eat so much ah ?'

I ate a plate of jiang cong yu pian fan. (Spring onion + fish slices + rice)

But I did not touch the 3/4 of the rice.

There was simply not enough fish to eat with the rice.

So I went to munch a filet-o-fish that he bought.

And, that was my dinner.

Am I really eating too much ?

Maybe the stress thing is working up again.

oh well.

I'm currently blog hopping.

Came across blogs of members of Resonance.

(Recap: They are the winner of College Category. i.e. TONE lost to them.)

Some of them wrote :

"..last year's sec sch category winner, Tone...was impressed by their Japanese song, with the VERY interesting title of Love Love Couple Furi Furi :p But by God's grace, we won! :) We were screaming and jumping as soon as the 2nd-place group was announced...think all the kids must have thought we were a bit mad :p.."

"..Tone, who looked on the whole pretty comfortable with one another onstage, with the added liveliness of choreography, too. Makes you realise how much staging and visuals play in the judging criteria, as well."

Well, I must say they are pretty good comments.

but the screaming and jumping part was a little disheartening.

at least I'm proud to say that TONE ended with a performance on monday!

I think we hardly went out of tune for most of the songs.

have to wait for Chin Tow's recording to hear the result.

probably, the 7 months bonding did the job!

What is the shortest possible distance between the girls' house.

the debated answer was between 4km or 5 km, if i'm not wrong.

so TONE won second placing in College Category.

the feather boas might have worked!

not first, but it was better than what we or I expected.

at least I reckoned we will be getting a consolation prize.

competing against group from universities is real tough.

well, I was deeply shaken that night.

or disillusioned.

in my heart, somehow I knew maybe we could get first if we were lucky enough.

but then getting the second place is more than enough.

it's just, urgh.

can't explained in words.

anyway, we lost to Reasonance, one of the three universities groups.

didn't hear them sang though.

they are better than us, for sure!

it may sound a little horrible due to the bad monitors.

we could barely hear ourselves.

pitching was poor as a result.

well, 28th concert is cancelled.

a note of warning: the following entry may disgust you.

I discovered a nest infested with dead spiders in my uniform this morning.

worst, I was wearing it then.

(YUCK!)

no wonder I was feeling this extra weight on my uniform.

so I flipped over the uniform and poured out rocks with dead spiders in it.

AH!

it feels disgusting even typing in here.

well, I was horrified of course.

tried to clean with tissue paper and magic clean but to no avail.

I had to call my mum for help.

yes, she helped me to clean up the mess.

thanks mum!

then she questioned me why wear the old uniform all of sudden.

let's just say I was blur in the morning.

she then said that my sister noticed this suspicious insect flying in and out of my room last weekend.

my old uniform was hung near the window edege.

I guess that explains the nest then.

conclusion ?

Bugs love my green uniform.

I'm really afraid of bugs now.

even the flapping of their wings make me jitters.

right, saturday was so called the 'technical run' for Vocalappollooza.

but, everything just went total haywire.

1. We couldn't find a decent spot to rehearse.

Got chased out everywhere we went.

2. Timing got mixed up.

Supposed to get there at 2pm but turned up at 2.45pm.

3. Choreography not fixed.

Embarrassed ourselves in front of that guy. (what was his name ?)

yup, that was how saturday turned out to be.

on the last note, Love love couple furi furi de chu sounded great! =)

finally, for the first time, I slept for almost 12 hours.

previously, it's only 8 hours.

must have been the stress I think.

and, I'm energized for tonight!

haha.

tonight was a night to reward us.

to those who had strived hard in their academics and CCAs.

and, I'm proud and honoured to be one of them.

reported at 5.15pm in the AVA room, which is very early considering the event actually begins at 7pm ?

met up with Cinch earlier, to pass her fever score.

and, I think she got hitched by a middle aged chee go pek again.

I certainly hoped she won't bump into such man again.

and saw Louisa too!

with her new haircut, looks alright on her!

okay, then it was time to receive my award!

shook hands with a i-don't-know-who-you-are man and walked down the red carpet with seok wei.

and for once, I think my school is RICH.

rehearsal yesterday with TONE was amusing.

I sorta made a disgrace of myself.

we were discussing on what songs to sing for competition and concert.

some suggested old songs due to that lack of new songs.

so I said, by singing LAO POK songs, we will bring a LAO POK feeling to it and bore the audience.

in a dramatic manner.

with both my arms extended out.

and this action was a bit over-rated.

well, they had fun making fun of it.

so, I'm totally fine with it too!

so we went to perform for the official opening for Kids Performing.

(in case you didn't know, Kids Performing is a platform where kids perform!

and don't you underestimate them, though they are young, they are full of energy!

they sing and they dance, just one full entertainment package for you!

they had performed at major events as well.)

performance and sound was okay after we finally came together.

haha!

the buffet was fabulous ! (for me that is)

they had heavenly cheesecakes!

from plain, to coffee and even chocolate ones!

I simply wolfed down 3 cheesecakes at one go!

I was in heaven then!

but I would prefer fruit tarts to cheesecakes though.

still, Cheesecakes still made my day!

I also found out that there's different Kids in Kids Performing.

namely, Jazz Kids, Broadway Kids and Urban Kids.

I reckon that I've forgotten that last one.

but anyway, just what kind of kid are you ?

I'm done with 5 days of conquer O.

but it's all on my own now.

Dad is really nice !

he cooked my favourite fried rice for breakfast today!

just yesterday, I was asking casually, 'When are you going to cook fried rice again ?'

(he had been working night shifts for the whole week)

as usual, he just ignores me.

and this morning I had fried rice!

I love my daddy!

Camp Appella 101 was held yesterday.

had to wake up all early in the morning to get to SMSS.

opening for the camp was just horrible.

percussion was just too slow, slowing the rest of us down.

but master class with Larry wasn't that bad.

managed to fix Perhaps x3.

and, chin tow did some professional photo taking business after the camp.

I gave her a hand as well!

the performance was wonderful!

haha.

I still don't know what's installed for us.

I believe I can have a good night rest tonight.

now, I can

-walk normanly, no more limping.

-fold my legs when I sit.

-finally stop staring at my foot. (It's quite ugly due to the bruise from the massage, I supposed.)

It's still a little swollen though.

I still have to be conscious about it.

and not starting to jump around and all.

I've pasted the poster of us, TONE on my wall.

I call it the wall of Jasmine Kan.

the poster was for OPEN MIC, which we performed at.

although the photo was utterly hideous, I find it an amazing achievement for TONE.

well, just in case you were wondering how we looked like, let me give you a gist of it.

Jeremy puts it this way:

-I looked like a witch

-Jun Kai looked like uncle.

-Chin Tow looked like auntie.

-Rayner looked like an alien with two heads.

-and he himself looked like a little boy.

alright, back to topic.

TONE is 1 (going on 2) years old now.

though I wasn't in the original group, I felt that the group has grew.

grew in terms of singing, bonding and image.

back then, people would be like 'Huh, who's TONE ?'

but perhaps now, people might go 'Oooh! that acappella group ar ?'

though, I highly doubt that's the scene now.

I hope that will happen sometime in the future.

I'm listening to The Idea of North now, an Australia acappella group.

they managed to cut an album.

in my mind, I'm thinking, will we be like them some day ?

perhaps.

it's just another reflective entry.

so it was X-men 3 The Last Stand that I caught this weekend.

thumbs up~!

pity that quite a number of important characters have to die.

wanted to watch DaVinci Code, pity the time slots was too late.

alright, so I performed with my swollen leg today.

it's less swollen actually.

we sang sitting down except for first and last song.

some songs were disgusting as usual.

Juicy was well sang I should say.

Teresa Teng Medley should never be sang again, I say.

alright, I went to consult the 'tie da' doctor in the evening.

my condition deteriorated.

it's more than a sprain now, but rather, an infection.

and, it has spread to almost my right foot.

so the doctor massage my foot to losen the vein and use some sucking device to suck my vein.

(pardon me if sounds vulgar.)

the pain was killing me then but it's definitely better now.

I'm given chinese medicine to reduce the swell and infection.

I doubt it will taste good.

I took a photo of my foot as well.

I just sprained my ankle in my home.

just how ridiculous that sounds.

I dun know how I sprained it.

I was getting up from the sofa (in the living room) at 9.30pm after Idol Finale and was making my way to my room.

so, usually you have to walk a distance to your room.

suddenly, *cracked* I twisted my ankle.

now, my right ankle is a probably twice the size than usual.

okay, I'm exaggerating.

it's a little swollen right now.

mum says I had probably sprained my 'jin'.

thank goodness it wasn't the bone or anything.

and dad accused me for running around the house and sprained my foot.

I'm a 16 year old grown up kid and I still run around the house ?

dad just keep rubbing it in at times.

alright, I got manage my time more properly now.

I will probably have to set off at least half an hour earlier than usual to make my way to grandma's house and tuition at dobby ghaut.

and, I will have to LIMP my way there.

plus, there's performance on saturday.

I could almost hear the audience goes, 'Hey! That girl has a swollen foot! Haha!'

well, mum is taking me to the 'tie da' tomorrow after tuition.

she says it will be okay pretty soon.

mum is nice to me though.

now, my mum wants to enrol me in some english tuition conducted by some professor.

I'm trying to look at the positive side of it.

yes, Chris Daughtry was eliminated.

although Paula predicted Chris to be in the finals, the truth was otherwise.

I was expecting Katharine to be booted out as yesterday wasn't really the best of her performance.

the Elvis Presley (he had 150 platinum and gold records! )theme was already a disadvantage for her.

at least, the results show that Katharine does have fans rooting for her ! (Quoted from Ruth)

As of today, I, Jasmine Kan will no longer be the president of AMKSS Choir.

Yes, this today has finally arrived.

always punctual.

Stepping down of CCAs never fails to come late.

anyway, the new choir committee has been selected.

they will be on 1 month probation before they can take officially take over their position.

it's Mr Ng's idea, by the way.

Student Conductor : Dawn

Head of Logistics : Wen Xiu

Head of Library : Wen Hui

that's the main positions that the choir voted.

well, I'm satisfied with the result.

I just feel that as a president, I didn't do the best that I can.

initially, I started off to be a friendy and caring president.

but I realised I couldn't.

Hey people!

this week (till now) has been really pleasant, with no tests and all.

mum wants me to cut my hair.

I'm kind of reluctant coz I want to keep it longer.

never mind, a little cut won't hurt.

well, my dad on the other hand is addicted to 'Da Chang Jing'.

which I have no clue why.

he hates local drama coz he thinks it's dumb.

but now, he watching 'Da Chang Jing', a korean drama.

although I can't deny the fact that korean drama is 58576347303404 times better than local ones, it's still a bit odd to see my dad chasing after 'Da Chang Jing'.

so now, on weekdays, at 10pm he will go to the room and tune in to 'Da Chang Jing', leaving me in the living room watching

seemed that my computer had quite a number of problems.

previously, there was a virus attack.

this morning, I can't connect to the internet.

the technican guy came and turned out that the virus had 'eaten' up one of my driver.

and now, it fixed!

yesterday performance at Joint Service Centre was horrible and pathetic.

TONE : sound was bad, we can barely hear ourselves.

performance rating : 2 / 5

AMK Choir : generally fine, sound system was lousy, but still, good job, choir!

performance rating : 3 / 5

TAS Youth Voices : sound was a lot better than TONE's, but I wasn't sure of the choreo. My solo kinda ~~sucked~~

performance rating : 3.5 / 5

oh well, bad performances just happens.

I guess we just had to learn from our mistakes and picked ourselves up from there!

Hello there!

I'm back!

Choir Camp was smooth and fun!

AMK Choir has a a cappella group!

they are called the 'Bangala Boys'.

sad to say, I'm one of them as well.

I'm only harmonising with them, that's all.

Choir exchange with Nan Hwa and Clementi Town Secondary was interesting.

the way different conductors work with their choir just intrigue me.

pity, we didn't interact with the both the choir much.

Parents Appreciation Concert was smooth as well.

Teresa Teng Medley sounded normal for once!

skit was well-done as well.

took loads of photos.

I'll be leaving for the annual Choir Camp from tomorrow onwards.

we are having exchange programmes with Nan Hwa Secondary and Clementi Town Secondary as well.

it's going to be exciting!

TAS rehearsal on saturday was alright.

we are not performing 'Let's Get Loud' anymore because of the complicated dance steps.

instead, we are doing 'I Get Around'.

well, performing in front of the president is no joke.

I seriously dun want to screw this performance.

well, had A Maths and Bio Test today.

A Maths was alright, at least I managed to do most of the questions.

Bio, just dun talk about it. It was horrible.

this week was eventful as well!

firstly, my 16th birhtday fell on tuesday!

well, if u have watched the news, u should know there's an accident.

involving a school bus and a private bus.

just outside AMK Bus Interchange.

my sister was in that fateful school bus.

thank god, godness and every god, she's fine.

except for a minor bruise on her right eyebrow.

that school bus was really in a dreadful state.

I'm just glad that she's alright.

and I guess she's a little shocked after that.

I'm really grateful that my parents brought me up in the right way, I suppose.

and I hope it isn't too late that I realised it.

well, we had a family gathering at my aunt's house.

all my young cousins were there, including Angelica.

she's about 3 and looks excatly like the younger me.

that's what my uncles, grandmother and father said.

I thought she looked very adorable and angelic.

but, I was kinda wrong.

apparently, she has a liking for writing.

but she can't write letters except some strokes, lines and dots.

so I lent her my pink coloured pen for writing.

after all her writings, she wanted the pink pen.

of course, I couldn't give it to her.

and she started crying and screaming.

I was appalled.

I can't really put my shock in words.

and, it's not in one circumstances that she wanted this particular stuff and started crying.

when we returned home, I asked parents,

'Was I like Angelica when I was young ?'

'No lah, u were always the one being bullied.' my parents answered.

and my mum add on, 'You should be thankful that we did not spoiled u.'

yes, I really am.

well, I'm not saying that my parents brought me up in the RIGHT way.

but to me, it is.

had CNY celebration today.

I really wanted Team Miz to win but still, they couldn't catch up.

my stomach is grumbling so badly now and I have no idea why.

feel like munching something but it seemed odd doing it in the middle of the night.

and, I've just discovered from my mum that my surname should be KANG instead of KAN.

I have 5 uncles and 1 aunt from my paternal side.

and only 1 uncle has the same surname as I do.

the rest are KANGs.

well, it seemed that the nurses in the past either had hearing problem or writing problem.

flag day today was horrible for myself, Doreen, Ruth and almost everyone.

well, we were supposed to go the Rayner's house today.

it was 'not up to standard' according to dad.

but I thought it was alright.

my nose has been working up all day.

sneezing on and off.

I guess it's due to the change in the weather.

just received my date for the piano examination.

it's on the 15th February.

I don't know if I'm able to pass it.

attended this album production seminar this afternoon at School of Music Arts with TAS Youth people.

the seminar was well, complicated.

but at least I thought I learnt something.

he was talking about the program software and guitar stuffs.

which obviously I know nuts about.

but still, it was a interesting seminar.

yup, first week of school is over!

9 more weeks to go!

well, first week of school was nice.

I'm especially enjoying chemistry lesson.

Mr Soh is super duper high-tech teacher.

he has this wireless mouse (i suppose) and he uses it as a laser pointer and a mouse.

how cool!

and he gave each and everyone of us a barcode label.

why ?

so that he can just scan the codes with his gadgets when marking our books.

oh my!

I've never seen such high-tech teacher in my life.

so far, I think english lesson in the most boring of all.

I've heard the teachers are already giving essays for homework on the first day.

gross.

maths lesson was alright.

with Mrs Ong, I think i have to really pay extra attention in her class.

humantities lesson are as usual, Mrs Sim, with nothing more to expect from.

bio lesson, I just have to get used to the 'indian english'.

chinese lesson, no more Lao Da.

but still, I liked the new teacher.

well, I guess that's about it.

my computer went gone case just now.

scared the ~~hell~~ out of me.

it just shuts off itself antomatically.

not once, but a couple of times.

thank god, it has 'recovered from a serious error'.

first few days of school had been fine.

except that the choir performance on tuesday was a semi-disaster.

well, I was told that I had to teach the sec 1s the school song, since no one can do the job.

so I conducted the choir through the school song once and teach the sec 1s.

but I guess my standard of english was just too 'high' for them to understand me.

thank goodness Miss Choo took over.

and everthing turned out fine.

phew.

today was the CCA auditioning.

I've heard that sec 1s can't really sing, they have attitude problems and blah blah.

but when I'm interacted with them, I find that they are actually nice people.

some are friendly, cheeky and u know, the usual stuff.

I can't believe that I actually interacted with them.

I'm kinda of anti-social, u see.

well, hope that choir will get enough singers for this year.
