finally i had the time to blog again... i miss blogging! hai... this week have been kind of rushed especially for the last two days... all homework kept coming in... eh... i think i shan't talk about the events that happen over the days that i didn't blog... coz it's toodamn long for me to type it out and i dun have enough time... so i would only talk about today...
so today was the 'Singapore Acappella Championship'... [sounds grand huh ?] haha... anyway i took part in it... together with 9 other people from choir... so the venue of the championship is held at mox cafe and bar at tanjong pagar... [kind of far i think... but not really...] the cafe [or bar]... looks amazing... i think it gives people a cosy feeling... and the sofas there are so comfy as well! haha... though it was small but i think it is still kind of cool... but there's one thing funny... and that is the toilet... the toilet is very very very very small okies... the space is only occupy a toilet bowl and u urself... that's all... [small huh ?] and the door as well... it's not big also... and it's kind of squeezy... so when u go to the toilet u will be doing ur business facing the door and that is facing to the outside... [in a sense...]
back to the competition... we had a couple of warm ups and rehearsal... went through quite smoothly... but i'm afraid would repeat itself... u will get what i mean later on... then we [me,hong dan,yi qi,jaslyn and josephine] went on down to the maxwell hawker centre to have our dinner... we each had a meat bun, shared a glutinous rice and 3 'ha kao' and 3 'siew mine'... kind of each... we each only had to pay $2.40... but i was very full after eating all that and drinking about 1 cup of sugar cane juice...
so the competition started... we had rehearsals again... but only thing is that our second song and that is 'lean on me' need a percussionist but willis was not here... but hao ren came just at the right time... so he was like only had 5 minutes to practice his percussion... and soon it was our turn... so the MC didn't really know how to pronounce our group name so they called us up earlier to ask us this 'hot' question... and by the way our group name is 'eman puorg' [looks chim huh ?] haha... but actually it's the invertion of group name... [got it ?] haha... so we started our first song 'yu jian' by stef sun... we were like kind of off tune for the first few lines but it was the bridge that i liked best... 'lean on me' sounded better... and we had a few people clapping with us... and ta-da... our item was over... so we or rather i went to kind of analyze our percentage of winning... there were 4 groups altogether [including us...] so 25% of winning the second spot is secured... then 25% will be added more as the first 2 teams really sounded not that good... [i'm sorry to say that...] and anyway the second team actually sang 'shut up' by the black eyed peas... [amazing huh ?] haha... then was the other groups and categary [i dun know how to spell...] and i found that a lot of groups actually liked to sing 'i do' by 98 degrees... i personally liked the original one... but they sing sing sing until i dun like the song already... haha...
results were out... guessed what ? we won.... [the second spot]... well... not that bad... i must admit that the final group sounded better than us... nvm... at least we still had $200 to be probably spilt among us and each of us getting less than $20... [pathetic eh ?]
so i went home... really tired... and i had to blog... to update a bit or else the blog will be like dead dead like that... haha... [joking...] anyway... i just wanna say thanks to all who have been passing by my blog... [i can see it from the visitors status...] passing by is definitely good enough... but i just hope can leave me a tag as well ? thanks a lot! okies... gotta catch some sleep... it's already going to 1am... signing off...
